I don’t know where the sun is rising I can’t see a little glimpse of day I can’t hear the voice inside me Cause I have lost my way I've been down this worn out highway I've been down this road before I've been true to all my demons But I can’t anymore So you say there’s a light in me And it will shine more every day You believe You believe I will rise above And Dance With Grace I once dreamed there was a house in heaven I once dreamed that house was mine And inside there were people smiling That day, the sun did shine I've been trapped down by this crossroad I've been trapped inside my fears I've been good at lies and secrets But they got me nowhere So you say there’s a light in me And it will shine more every day You believe You believe I will rise above And Dance With Grace So you say there’s a light in me And it will shine more every day You believe You believe I will rise above And Dance With Grace

Driving in the night I hear the river call below Where shadows roam Moving through the mountains and the moonbeams soft and white On a summer's night I remember your arms around me And a song from the radio You took my hand and we danced out on the road I'm following water and time On a river highway Driving past our long ago Love still grows on Riverbend Road Riding with the freedom of the wind tossing my hair In the misty air Moving past the canyons and the legends of the caves Above the waves For you, I surrendered my soul to you With sand inside my guitar We watched the river take off into the stars I'm following water and time On a river highway Driving past our long ago Love still grows on Riverbend Road Young dreams flow And the heart still knows And the voices of the river call out Midnight glows And the tall grass blows With the ghosts of us still around I'm following water and time On a river highway Driving past our long ago Love still grows on Riverbend Road Love still grows on Riverbend Road

You pack your bags - and tie them down The horizon's caught your eye I know that road has Two Directions I won't cry or say goodbye You'll go far with what you've learned Once you leave what you love But miles make lonely memories Don't let the eagle kill the dove They say no road goes on forever You'll have to turn before too long Go get your fill of highway wind Come back to me with a song You know I thank that open road When you leave me with a kiss I learned to share you with those lines They bring you back to what you miss But I won't count those lonely nights Or spend half my life all alone But it's here when you want it And it's there when you roam They say no road goes on forever You'll have to turn before too long Go get your fill of highway wind Come back to me with a song

Some say the river sure got its ways Wade up in the north, drift down for days Drop in a line, wait for a bite I got a feeling this drifting ain't right Don't take the river, find you a train One with coal fire, the other with rain If you're late a season she says you're to blame So pull up that line and go catch you that train Lovin' ain't easy, there's much more to the tale In the evening I love you, by morning we sail But days gather days and nights pull up lame So steer to the banks and go, catch you that train Pull up that line and go catch you, catch you that train Nobody meant this, nobody schemed I never dreamt this but I'm coming clean The river will always flow in my brain If I'm gonna hold you I'm catching that train Don't take the river, find you a train One with coal fire, the other with rain If you're late a season she says you're to blame So pull up that line and go catch you that train Lovin' ain't easy, there's much more to the tale In the evening I love you, by morning we sail But days gather days and nights pull up lame So steer to the banks and go, catch you that train Pull up that line and go catch you, catch you that train Don't take the river, find you a train One with coal fire, the other with rain If you're late a season she says you're to blame So pull up that line and go catch you that train Pull up that line and go catch you that train

The night is broken The moon no longer shines The wheels have spoken To all we leave behind Legend has it That we can't be apart But I know what's coming And it's tearing up my heart I don't want to know I don't want to know 'bout your dreams I don't want to hear Don't want to hear Your thrills and schemes You'll be forever free and wild When the ashes touch the sky I can see the flames still burning in your eyes I got these poems deep inside I don't know if I'll survive But I got this car And I'm leaving here tonight The road is calling But the darkness holds me back The night is longing For all that we once had I don't want to look don't want to look into your eyes So I guess I'll see you there See you on the other side You'll be forever free and wild When the ashes touch the sky I can see the flames still burning in your eyes I got these poems deep inside I don't know if I'll survive But I got this car And I'm leaving here tonight I got this car And I'm leaving here tonight

After sunrise In the Garden Sweet grass everywhere After sunrise In the Garden Spirit moves the air In the journey Passion moving Purple red and blue In the journey Colors blooming Sun is coming through Your eyes are shining Through another the dawn Your legacy Lives on and on Can you feel my love Reaching for you in the garden Speaking to you in the garden Waterfalls of time Words are floating by Just you and I Just you and I After midday In the garden Shrubs and moss and trees After midday In the garden Roses in the breeze See the orchids Yellow whispers Climbing to the sky See the birches Soft and graceful Souls of angel white Your hands are turning Earth into the light Your heart still giving Life to life Can you feel my love Reaching for you in the garden Speaking to you in the garden Waterfalls of time Words are floating by Just you and I Just you and I Just you and You and I

New Way Home 03:46
Drinking in the forest air It's a new way home Suddenly the path is clear It's a new way home I've walked this road many times before So many miles I hear those old thoughts roar But tonight, down this road alone It's a new way home These shoes know every twist and turn Down this new way home Where December froze and August burned Down this new way home I hear the spirits call again Calling me down to the meadow's end And tonight, where the heavens roam It's a new way home Clouds roll against a dusk-covered sky As a brighter moon fills my eyes Shadows cross the fields and fall Down by the pond I hear them call From another time The old farmhouse waits on a hill On this new way home We're still peering out from that windowsill On this new way home The trees now tall From those years gone by I see new branches brush the sky And tonight, where those pine trees blow It's a new way home And tonight, where the heaven's roam It's a new way home

Heaven 03:35
Heaven is a place when I'm near you Heaven is the time we spend alone Heaven is the one who you can turn to And Heaven's where your heart feels at home Heaven knows I'm a little bit crazy for you Heaven knows I don't know what to do Heaven only sees the light come shining And heaven knows I see the light in you Heaven is a place of trust and giving Heaven is the arms that hold you, hold you so tight Heaven is unspoken understanding And heaven is a world when all is right Heaven is the touch of soft and tender Heaven is to know you're by my side Heaven is the comfort of your shoulder And heaven is forever in your eyes

On a long and dark road Empty stretch of night Shadowed trees fall from either side And there's candles in those window Pretty photos hang inside And I'm minutes away on this New Year's ride Curve ahead to the future Depart from the past Stones and tar and asphalt so vast And I'm driving on the edge of reason In a winter so unkind But there's truth ahead on this New Year's Ride So this is the sound of the year turning Vanishing behind the wheel, With a cold wind burning I see one headlight a million miles away From city to city Dream to dream Promises are made but unseen Hear the echoes of desperation Past unmarked signs I can hear them on this New Year's Ride I feel my heartbeat racing I hear my tires chasing This old desire that never leaves Now I feel the need for a reckoning Closer down the line Where the bones meet the road on this New Year's Ride So this is the sound of the year turning Vanishing behind the wheel, With a cold wind burning I see one headlight a million miles away

Walk Down 04:27
The road is ours To walk down together Try to leave your side And meet me at the center line The road is hard But we can make it better So walk down; walk down And take a stand Little boy sits at the edge of his lawn Waiting for a friend to come along They don’t know what he can see The world – just a little differently He has a big heart made of gold But he’s not cool or so he’s told He wants badly to fit in But he’s not good enough for them The road is ours To walk down together Try to leave your side And meet me at the center line The road is hard But we can make it better So walk down; walk down And take a stand Young man stands in the middle of the road Looking for a dream to call his own Looking up high, looking down low Everywhere it’s no, no, no He sees color on a black and white screen He sees good when the world is mean He wants badly to fit in But he’s not good enough for them Too white, too black, too tall, too fat, too smart, too dumb Too straight, too gay, too left, too right, too scared -- run, run, run Too shy, too loud, too square, too round, too dull, too bright Too fast, too slow, too young, too old, too this, too that, well it's not right The road is ours To walk down together Try to leave your side And meet me at the center line The road is hard But we can make it better So walk down; walk down walk down, walk down, walk down, walk down, And take a stand
