Inspired by the opening scene from Living in a Material World, the George Harrison documentary -- in which George is peering through a brilliant row of red tulips. After his death, a Garden for George was created. This song is about remembrance -- finding hope, comfort, and peace in the place where we can grieve and honor those we've lost.
lyrics
After sunrise
In the Garden
Sweet grass everywhere
After sunrise
In the Garden
Spirit moves the air
In the journey
Passion moving
Purple red and blue
In the journey
Colors blooming
Sun is coming through
Your eyes are shining
Through another the dawn
Your legacy
Lives on and on
Can you feel my love
Reaching for you in the garden
Speaking to you in the garden
Waterfalls of time
Words are floating by
Just you and I
Just you and I
After midday
In the garden
Shrubs and moss and trees
After midday
In the garden
Roses in the breeze
See the orchids
Yellow whispers
Climbing to the sky
See the birches
Soft and graceful
Souls of angel white
Your hands are turning
Earth into the light
Your heart still giving
Life to life
Can you feel my love
Reaching for you in the garden
Speaking to you in the garden
Waterfalls of time
Words are floating by
Just you and I
Just you and I
Just you and
You and I
